Zion welcomes gracious gift
Members of Zion Lutheran Church in Tamaqua celebrate the dedication of new furniture for the church’s Gathering Room. The Rev. Debra Ernst led a brief dedicatory service following the congregation’s annual financial meeting Dec. 6. Project chair George Taylor thanked the members of his committee – Darlene Fetterman, Walter Weston and Mark Semesak – and the Ross Davis family for donating the carpet for the furniture area and Alma Jean Fisher for her work on a new table covering for the area. The Gathering Room is used prior to services at Zion and for coffee and conversation social time between services. The area can also be used for meetings and small group activities and discussions. The project was made possible through the generosity of an anonymous donor.
