COME AND MEET OUR INTERIM PASTOR KISTLER
¨ Tuesday, September 21, 10:00 A.M. at the church
¨ Wednesday, September 22, 7:00 P.M. at the church
¨ Sunday, September 26, 11:00 A.M. at the church
On each occasion, Pastor Kistler will invite those present to share about Zion Lutheran Church, focusing upon the following questions…
*What do you like about your Church? Why did you become a member, and why are you still a member? What is pleasing to God about Zion?
**Tell a story about Zion, something memorable that happened, recently or longer ago.
Pastor Kistler expects each time to last about 1½ hours, although he will stay longer to give everyone a chance to speak.
At least one member of Church Council will be present at each Come and Meet session.
Pastor Kistler will make himself available for folks who want to talk with him individually. If you would like to set up an appointment, call the church office (668-2180) or email him: ziontmqa@ptd.net.
Harvest Home will be held Sunday, September 26, 2010. We will be collecting food items, which will be given to the Friends in Need Food Pantry at Trinity UCC in Tamaqua. If you would like to make a donation, be sure that the food items are in non-perishable metal cans or plastic containers. Nothing in glass or any home canned goods, please. Food items can be brought to the church during the week at regular office hours. We encourage you to be here for Harvest Home and help us help others.
Goods ‘N Stuff Rummage/Bake Sale
October 8th and 9th
9 am till 1:00 pm
¨ Set-up dates for the sale will be September 28th thru October 7th.
¨ Help the days of the sale on October 8th and 9th!
¨ Bake for the bake sale!
¨ Make something to sell in the kitchen!
¨ Come around 12:30 on Saturday and help with the packing up, tearing down and cleaning up.
¨ You may start bringing your items in now, all donations are greatly appreciated.
We urge anyone available to help on the above dates. This is a huge event and more volunteers are needed. On Saturday, October 9th at noon, we are in great need of some strong teenage boys and men.
